To me, Martial Arts is an epic, mysterious adventure filled with excitement, challenges, secret knowledge, deep meaning, and purpose. I have been drawn to martial arts all of my life and have been involved in The Way for nearly 4 decades. I have had many excellent teachers and experiences during my life in martial arts, but my REAL journey began when I met Grandmaster Choe. Under the guidance of Grandmaster Choe, I have been able to experience martial arts as a student, friend, brother, competitor, champion, teacher, leader and master. Grandmaster’s ChungMu HapKiDo is a complete path, providing the ways and means for full development of body, mind, and spirit.
Personally, the greatest joys in martial arts are helping others and witnessing the positive changes in students’ lives. The friendship and community that makes this powerful change possible is a living treasure. The respect in HapKiDo forges relationships with a level of consideration and regard that is rarely found elsewhere.
My life at Choe’s HapKiDo in Duluth, Georgia has come full circle with my 2 sons beginning their own journey in ChungMu HapKiDo. Martial Arts is a true force of good in the world, and it is an honor and blessing to be part of it.

INSTRUCTOR PJ MOORE
Hello! My name is Paul Moore Jr., and my students know me as Instructor PJ. I began at Choe’s HapKiDo Martial Arts in Grayson, Georgia in June 2017, and it has been a blast growing as a martial artist. It was a proud day to have earned my black belt in October 2019.
I was always a lifelong fan of martial arts, and I fell in love with HapKiDo! When I started as a student, I was 41, out-of-shape, overweight, and not very flexible. Within a few months of enjoying taking classes with my 2 kids, I started losing weight and felt better than ever!
What I really like about Choe’s HapKiDo is the philosophical teachings. It gives me an opportunity to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. The life lessons learned here are applicable to everyday life, and you become more self-aware with how you interact with others, yourself, and surroundings. What we learn here is hard to find elsewhere.
The greatest aspect of being a martial artist instructor—or at least, what I love the most—is watching our students grow, and being part of their journeys as well!
From overcoming my own obstacles, I encourage you to give Choe’s HapKiDo Grayson a try! Everyone here is ready to help you reach your goals, and it’s a positive, welcome community for you to become a part of. I hope to see you soon!
